My siblings and Spider-Man hug baby Iron man shirt. My mom did not want to leave her home but it was obvious she couldn’t stay there. Our solution was to contact a social worker who told us she would visit my mother and father to assess the situation. When she called us with her report she agreed that they were in no condition to remain alone in that home. She had contacted a nearby assisted living facility and there was an opening. My father would stay in one room where he would receive skilled nursing care and my mom would be in another room in the independent living section. At first, my mom was opposed to the idea but there wasn’t a better solution. In spite of her insistence, she and my dad could manage we knew that it was impossible.
