My grandma and The carp are calling and I must go shirt. We both needed our alone time so we would have downtime from each other when I was there for a few days. It worked out perfectly. I would sit at her kitchen table and listen to the radio which is where I get my extreme love of country music from as she loved it as well) while she would go outside and do some sort of lawn work or go into the basement and do some of her laundries. We both had similar tastes and personalities. We were both quiet and logical thinkers and were not very emotionally expressive. Her death was difficult for me. She died in 2016 when I was sixteen in September. My mother died the following April yet my grandmother’s death was somehow harder on me.
